If the Hilton is not within your budget, the bungalows/cottages (equipped with fridge and coffee-making facility) on this campground next door could well be an excellent alternative for you. As one may expect, the bathroom facilities are shared, but well-heated and very clean. (These are strictly available to guests only with a security code) There is a common kitchen too. The famous hot springs are a 2-minute walk down the hill. Free wifi.

We love visiting these spa pools every time we visit Taupo. So staying at the resort was an easy choice. Easy check in and out, quick walk to the pools and back. Room is clean, wifi's good. Enough space to park directly outside of the room. We've also stayed at the Hilton next door which has a fab pool. This is a great alternative if you want to save a it of cash.

Clean Cabin. Main bed was comfy but the bunk bed mattress was very thin. The pool and mineral spa area was amazing and just what we needed after a long day of driving. Staff were very friendly, especially the blonde lady this morning who gave me some great tips for places to see along our next days journey.
