"You can’t beat the location of this hotel. So close to lots of great restaurants and conveniently located within walking distance from campus. We enjoyed hanging out in the lobby each night, watching tv and enjoying some freshly baked cookies. The breakfast had a nice selection as well. "

"It has a huge indoor resort setting with an indoor pool, tables, chairs & lounges. Very nice & fun. It seems to be set up for large gatherings like banquets & company parties. Clean, comfortable with a free hot breakfast. The only negative is the highway road noise right outside the room windows. It is so loud you can hear individual trucks driving by. Suggest you bring ear plugs."

"It was clean and the breakfast was excellent. However, the heater in the room was so, so loud that my family couldn't sleep. In the end, I turned off the heater in the early morning to sleep and slept in a cold room. This is a very tiring and terrible experience. "

"Good hotel for a quick stay at a reasonable price. I should have paid more attention to the note that this is a pet friendly hotel, as I had a dog barking across the hall from me for three hours straight that evening. This is not the hotel's fault by any means, but keep this in mind as there may be noise. Aside from that, the hotel is clean and staff is friendly."

"The Vanguard in Ann Arbor went beyond my expectations! The room, lobby, restaurant and staff were exceptional! Our daughter was a student at U of M and we have stayed at many of the on-campus hotels throughout the years. The Vanguard is in a class of its own! I can't wait to stay there again!!!
