Whitepark Bay

View from the YHA at Whitepark bay. It is a little remote if you do not have transport. Only two buses came each day during the period I was there. Not far from the Giant Causeway.
We drove down from Belfast to Giant's Causeway and took the coastal route. A UNESCO World Heritage site, the Giant's Causeway is a magnificent, mysterious geological formation on the North East coast of County Antrim. We took the coastal route beside the Atlantic Ocean and the landscape was fascinating with the waves, rugged cliffs, secluded bays and magnificent views. It was an amazing drive and the whole area is categorised as Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) is an area of countryside in England, Wales or Northern Ireland which has been designated for conservation due to its significant landscape value.
