"We stayed at The Guest Lodge as we were watching our daughter row at a regatta at Lake Lanier so the location was perfect. However, it took 6 different key cards to get into our room. The staff were extremely helpful with this matter and had maintenance look at it. The problem still persisted but after several attempts we could access our room. The room itself was clean, though felt a little tired. We used the fridge, however by the morning everything was frozen, even after adjusting the thermostat! Breakfast was behind the reception desk so we couldn’t help ourself which was fine, but I would say not ideal, but a minor point. There is a pool to use which looked clean and well maintained though we didn’t use it. It is an easy 10 minute walk into Gainesville with a selection of restaurants which again, perfect. In general a convenient place to stay with very helpful and polite staff. It was perfect for our needs and with regards to our room, probably a one off and problems that can easily be fixed!"
