"We arrived to a quick check in with staff holding open the doors for us and offering to help with our luggage. We arrived to a spotless room which was well furnished and comfortable. Dinner followed in the main dining room with a scrumptious meal including wine, salad, dessert and a unique main course. "Lovely setting and family friendly. Staff were lovely. Our room was clean, however the hallway carpets and floors are tired, worn and appeared dirty. While it is difficult to keep common areas clean in a setting where there is a beach, more cleaning is required. Families were enjoying the beach and kayaks but we chose not to due to Canadian Geese on the grass and beach areas…wondering about the cleanliness of water in shallow areas. "The lake is beautiful. Check in was at 4PM - lots of rooms were not ready. Our first room was directly beside the coffee shop. I did ask to be moved. No real concern from the staff at all. I did book and pay for a room with a balcony with courtyard view. Ended up with a room that did have a balcony that looked into trees. Bed was awful.
