"A Great place. The front desk when we arrived John gave us all the information about New Smyra Beach and the history of the Riverview hotel. The room was a bit small but who needs a lot of room for just sleeping. The resturant next door was great and the included breakfast was also great and the staff was outstanding."

Right on the beach, low-key environment, short walk to the wonderful bars, restaurants, and nightlife on Flagler Ave. Private 'beaching area' just for salty mermaid only. Rent a golf cart / e-bike and explore. Only complaint was shower head, needs a new one. Other than that, perfect for us on our 20th wedding anniversary. Thank you!"

"Absolutely disgusting! I would rather sleep on the street! The online pictures looked okay. But in person is appalling. I went through Expedia and had them ask for a refund. The owners said no to the refund of 7 days I had booked. I'm out $400. They don't even try to make this place look nice. There are not even towels. If this is your last option. There should be a rule for refunds if the place is not sanitary/ liveable. In my opinion the owner is very deceitful/ fraudulent. They absolutely...

"this place has a ton of potential but is in need of upgrades. I had no problem with the state of disarray until I woke up with bite marks in clusters along my arm (bed bugs likely). New beds and furnishings at a minimum would make this place tolerable."
