"That hotel was perfect for our family! We loved the location and being in the center of everything. The pub next to it was really fun and the food was good. The staff was really friendly and helpful and they breakfast was really good and fresh. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. We would chose it again!"

"This was a disappointing hotel compared to the others we booked during our trip. First, the positive, the location is great as well as the staff. What disappointed us is that there are no elevators, the carpets and rooms are in a pretty sad state and the beds were really uncomfortable and rolling so they were moving when we were on them (no stops on the wheels). Plus, the bathroom was patched in so many places (floor, wall, around shower, etc) that It looked really bad and dirty. All in all, we enjoyed the location and the friendliness of the staff, but if I had to stay a second night I would have canceled and book somewhere else. It really needs some love!"

"This hotel was in a perfect location being just around the corner from O'Connell Street. Also, the Air Coach pick up and drop off point was literally around the corner not more than a few minutes walk on O'Connell Street near the big Dublin sign. Also, it was in short walking distance of many pick up and drop off points for bus tours. I found the staff to be quite friendly and courteous during my interactions with them. Breakfast was quite sufficient: hard boiled eggs, cold cuts, cheese, fruit, cereal, breads, jams, pastries, yogurt, etc. The room was clean and maintained daily. I love that there was an ironing room as I like to wear button down shirts under sweaters. My only qualm is that I wasn't clear on how to arrange a noon check-in for an early arrival. I ended up having to wait out 4 hours in the lounge area before checking in. However, this is a very good place to stay for a reasonable enough price. I will definitely seek to stay here again the next time I am in Dublin."

"The Academy Hotel is in an excellent central location, making it very easy to explore Dublin on foot. The rooms were comfortable and well maintained, and the overall condition of the hotel was very good. We found the hotel to be clean, quiet, and well run throughout our stay. The on‑site restaurant was a highlight, offering good food in a relaxed setting, and the coffee shop was especially convenient for a quick breakfast or coffee before heading out for the day. Overall, the Academy Hotel provided a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and I would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Dublin."

"Our room was given away to someone else and we didn’t find out until we got there. We did not get a room. We already paid for the room they didn’t give us. They moved us to a different hotel that had two twin beds instead of one double bed. This hotel was outside the main downtown area. When the 2nd hotel gave us a receipt, the hotel was substantially cheaper than the one we originally paid for. I will be asking for a refund."
