"Our first real introduction/welcome to Dublin was in the restaurant, our waitress Allison. She should be on the Dublin tourism board. My husband wanted to take her home. He had a cough and she made a special hot tea for him, recommended our first taste of Irish food that was awesome and answered our many questions. Our positive impression of Riu had a lot to do with how welcoming and warm she was."

"The property was in a great location and the public areas were fine. The rooms definitely need some updating, perhaps new rugs or laminate flooring. The bathroom was clean but had a very strong odor that seemed to improve after a couple of days."

"That hotel was perfect for our family! We loved the location and being in the center of everything. The pub next to it was really fun and the food was good. The staff was really friendly and helpful and they breakfast was really good and fresh. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. We would chose it again!"

"This hotel was in a perfect location being just around the corner from O'Connell Street. Also, the Air Coach pick up and drop off point was literally around the corner not more than a few minutes walk on O'Connell Street near the big Dublin sign. Also, it was in short walking distance of many pick up and drop off points for bus tours. I found the staff to be quite friendly and courteous during my interactions with them. Breakfast was quite sufficient: hard boiled eggs, cold cuts, cheese, fruit, cereal, breads, jams, pastries, yogurt, etc. The room was clean and maintained daily. I love that there was an ironing room as I like to wear button down shirts under sweaters. My only qualm is that I wasn't clear on how to arrange a noon check-in for an early arrival. I ended up having to wait out 4 hours in the lounge area before checking in. However, this is a very good place to stay for a reasonable enough price. I will definitely seek to stay here again the next time I am in Dublin."
