Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Danville by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"The only reason I gave four stars was because the shower had hair in it when I first got there. And there were people in and out of rooms at 4:30a making a lot of noise"
"I just needed a place to stay for the night after a party. I didn't arrive till 10:30p. I was able to get checked in quickly, took about a minute. The room was in good condition. I slept well. There was a train sound when I was trying to fall asleep, even though I had ear plugs in, but didn't get woken in the night from it. Nothing they can do about that but thought I would mention it if someone was worried about sounds. I did not eat breakfast, so can't speak to that. "
"Breakfast was good the first morning but the second morning, everything was practically empty and didn’t get refilled until breakfast was almost over. We left hungry the second morning "
"The room overall was clean. The kitchen was clean and stocked with coffee. That was great! The shower floor did not seem clean and felt gritty. There was only one bathroom hook which was too large to hang a bathroom travel bag and was already holding a blow dryer. It was an inconvenience not to hang the toiletry bag inside the bathroom. The person at the front desk was pleasant but not helpful. I am comparing this to our recent stay in a small-town Townplace by Marriott in which the lady at the front desk was friendly, helpful and a great communicator.
Overall a good stay."
"The positives here were that the price was reasonable, that they were a pet-friendly hotel, and that they didn’t charge extra for my dog. The staff were somewhat helpful. The first thing I did was try to use the restroom off the lobby after my long drive, but the toilet had “stuff” in it and would not flush. Also, the closest place with grass for my dog to pee in was about 25-30 yards in any direction from the front entrance, which was hard for me to get to quickly enough with my new knee and my dog urgently needing to pee. Again, its reasonable price and that it was pet-friendly were its major benefits to me. "
