"The cleanliness"

"The hotel was being renovated, which was needed because it was run down. The renovations were very dirty. The pool and fitness centre was filthy and unusable with food garbage on tables, the floor and in the pool. The guests were smoking and drinking everywhere outside and there was food and garbage on the floor in the lobby. I was afraid to leave the room at night. Definitely not what I expected from a Hilton."

"Ups: Clean and spacious room. Amazing spot for families in terms of their rec space and restaurant. Downs: We had an odd noise complaint when we were just conversing and a few laughs. The next morning I could hear every single word the neighbours were saying and realized that there's floor gaps between both connecting doors resulting in next to no privacy. Yikes! Also eyes burned in the pool area from chlorine."

"Fantastic location for downtown Winnipeg and The Forks area. On site parking was a big bonus. The room had an odd smell on first entrance but 20 minutes or so of air conditioning cleared the air. Comfortable beds (compared with the Days Inns and Wingates to follow). Breakfast was "no frills" but quite adequate. If I return to Winnipeg, the Humphry will likely be my hotel of choice."

"The staff at this hotel is unwelcoming and unhelpful. Our Tv was not working and they offered to fix it next morning, when we had to check out. They collect your personal details like names of all guests that are staying which I found unusual. Parking is a nightmare. Narrow passages in the parking lot and no signs for hotel guest parking! They didn’t even offer wifi password and other details on paper. Avoid at all costs, experience was so bad that I had to write my first review!"

"Overall the property was alright. The Expedia rating wasn’t super helpful. Location isn’t the best. The industrial part isn’t something I’d recommend. Lots of parking which is nice though. The room was really clean which was amazing but the halls and elevators weren’t the cleanest. It was super packed the weekend we were there and felt like we were intruding on some type of event or family reunion. It felt like we shouldn’t be there which I would have appreciated if that had been clarified that...
