It was a home staycation because in-laws took over the house and I needed some personal space. "Do NOT stay here!!!!! My husband and I booked it online thinking it would be a quaint place to stop in our way back home/Tahoe…and it was horrible! It smelled horrible (maybe it was the incense they were burning), the front desk didn’t speak English, the key at time didn’t work, and it was vacated by individuals living there which made it loud and awkward. We got to the red light to turn and there were several homeless people. There was a beat up liquor store at the corner and a lot of closed businesses. "In writing this review I have to decide "how" to compare this hotel with others. On the one hand, it's a Motel 6, so to begin with your standards shouldn't be excessively high. Comparing this hotel to other Motel 6's (or similar budget hotels), it stacks up pretty well. It's grounds were clean, although it needs some deep cleaning; for instance, the hot tub walls and floor are more green than white, and speaking of the hot tub, it is unbearably hot. No one could sit in it for more than a few...
