"The staff was great. The location was great. My room was very comfortable, although showing a bit of wear and tear (knobs missing from lamps, a small tear in my bedspread, older and not particularly well-functioning soap dispensers in the bathroom). Just some little things that could have made a good stay better. And I really dislike the nightly "facilities fee." I know a lot of NYC hotels charge them, but they are ALWAYS irritating and seem like a bait and switch (the offered rate is not as low...

"the manager, Jamie, was very rude to us. The check-in process was a disaster, with the staff not being able to promptly handle even a modest line of clients (three couples, including us. The staff also never told us that there was major construction works going on. Terrible stay !"

"The property is well located for business or sightseeing in midtown. The lobby is welcoming and the rooms large by NYC standards. However, I was on the 4th floor looking straight into a dark wall making the room extremely dark at all times. Also the shower would not drain properly meaning I was showering knee deep water despite reporting it to reception. An ok stay with so-so friendly staff, ok breakfast and not much else going on."
