If there were no issues with insects, red ants, lizards, and large spiders in the room, it would be great. Because the spider only appeared late at night. So I couldn't sleep well. Apart from the above matters, everything else is considered passed.

Clean & near restaurants but too small room and noisy from temple. Not much tourist place. In the initial step I was annoyed from hotel contact to do 100% Pre-Payment (transfer money) even it's still in cancellation period and I already confirmed trip to them.

Quiet location

A quiet location to enjoy the local national park and waterfalls. The hotel was quiet during my stay. English was limited but check in was efficient and friendly. Daily housekeeping was undertaken and it was easy to find the hotel just over the bridge by the river. Everything was clean and tidy although the shower was not overly warm and you couldn't adjust the temperature. I would recommend as a place to stay.

A few minor disappointments but good value overall

Located just by the bridge along the river as you enter Thong Pha Phum. Accessed by the service road along highway 3272. A new and clean motel, with most of their rooms having river views. Ample parking, walking distance to town, and with a pleasant looking restaurant next door. Rooms had a fridge, en-suite (Thai Style shower), TV with basically only Thai channels, and reasonably comfortable bedding. Free WiFi and free morning coffee. Rooms were quite cramped. Hotel was pretty good value, but the service was lacking. Staff knew no English despite advertising on sites such as this one, and rooms were not cleaned, towels not refreshed and drinking water not replaced without asking. Also had to wait about 20 minutes at check-in because whoever does the bookings had stuffed up my group's booking and only noted down one out of the three reservations we'd made! Not all the hotels in this town can be found online, but Thongphaphum River is a convenient option if you need a confirmed reservation with online booking and payment.
