Terrible! There was no hot water, which is completely unacceptable for the price charged. At a minimum, a hotel should provide basic amenities like a bed and hot running water—this property failed to do so. Admin completely refused to accommodate or discount the stay. Never got back to me when I asked to fix it (stayed there2 nights). Place is ran down, has bugs on the walls, dirty- I found a bunch of hair on the floor! Very disappointing. One good thing- easy parking- this is a motel- park in front of your door.

First time staying there with my kids. It’s so close to the entrance to Sequoia. They have definitely been upgrading the property. The room had a flat screen tv. The screen to the window and the screen door were both metal/steel. The AC is not central. There’s also an old sign on it stating to turn off all the lights to save electricity or there would be an extra charge. The owner (I’m assuming) was attentive and gave me the requested items (I needed an extra towel). I have to admit I was not fond of the checkout. I had to leave the key in a tin basket outside the office door since there was no staff onsite at the time. For all I know, someone could have grabbed the key and gone into the room my kids and I stayed in and trash it. A slot in the office door would have been better. For a last minute stay, I would recommend it. The market next door was great.

The room was mostly clean with super clean beds and towels. Just desperately needed vacuuming. Peacefully and relaxing place great for long stays and enjoy the National Parks and beauty.
Good thing we bring our own hair dryer, because this one had been broken.
The room just needed vacuuming, between guests. Clear sequins on the floor and in the doorway.
A set of unused chop sticks along side the base board. Not ours.

I made my reservation over 6 months ago and when I checked in, the owner said there was no room available for me and he transferred me to his partner property, which is over 10mins away from river inn and literally at the edge of the town. I have been staying for two nights and already paid in full, but the second day my key didn’t work and the receptionist at the front desk couldn’t find my information in her computer. My information was logged in by the owner of River Inn during check-in and apparently there was no proper communication between them.

This property has so much potential! It's in a perfect spot and small enough to enjoy your trip without crowds. That being said, I'm disappointed that our room wasn't as great. Our shower had mold stains so we had to place a washcloth over it to feel comfortable showering. The room was dusty, including the bed's box springs under the matress. There was trash behind the dresse and the hangers in the room were also dusty and broken. There was mold in the document hanger on the room door that detailed outdated information about the facility. Had the room been better kept up our stay would have been great but we were not comfortable and worried about sleeping in the beds.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom 2 bath cottage. Its was really nice. With a large living room with fireplace, piano, dining area, large kitchen and 2 bedrooms. They have bbq and firepit outside. This hotel was great for the price we paid and its closest to the Sequoia park entrance. Right next door is a nice cafe/ restaurant and market with everything you need and also a gift shop.

Clean room and comfortable bed. Good food next door with daily specials, within walking distance. Only negative is my coffee maker didnt work, but wouldn't stop me from staying again.

The check-in young lady was not welcoming or very friendly. She arrived a few minutes after 3:00 pm for the check-in time and seemed annoyed that we were there ready to check-in. No helpful tips from her about anything in the area. It wasn't very inviting. I didn't expect the room to be anything special but it was more run down then the pictures appear. The shower is really outdated, was clean though. The bed was comfortable and it is quite which was nice. The view is decent but it's not a river view. Overall we wouldn't recommend it and won't be returning to stay there in the future.

The location is great, just 2 miles away for south entrance to Sequoia National Park. Staff was very courteous and accommodating. They were kind enough to give us a 1-bedroom with a kitchenette in the living room. When the water heater broke, they allowed us to shower in another room. The amenities were mediocre with broken water heater, broken coffee maker and limited lighting. The facility needs an infrastructure improvement for greater business interest for a hotel in such a crucial location.
