This is a great B&B, close to the Gill's Bay ferry, and easy to find. The owners were very helpful and explained all of the room functions. The breakfast was amazing. Great place to stay the night before a ferry crossing. I had to good runs from the property that didn't require running on the main road, so it felt safe.

Graeme was extremely helpful and made great suggestions for travel to the Orkney Islands. Hawthorns is a great option for “The North.” The land is a bit remote - yet Graeme and Eilean create a home away from home.
