10/10 Excellent

"Brought our dog and stayed at one of the cabins and was extremely satisfied with the stay. The location is beautiful with a dense pine forest surrounding the individual cabins. Ate dinner and breakfast at the on-site restaurant and both meals were quite good (and the breakfast voucher was a nice touch). The only issue we faced was that the AC or the room itself had a somewhat musty smell (we couldn’t identify where the smell was coming from but it was unpleasant) but we just kept the windows open and didn’t mind it too much."

Comfort Inn & Suites Near Mt. Rushmore

"Out of the 9 states and 9 hotels we visited during our trip, this hotel was by far the best. It was clean, well-maintained, fresh-smelling, and comfortable. Most importantly, the staff were incredibly friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. My entire family truly enjoyed our stay here. I hope you continue maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and exceptional customer service that made our experience so memorable. The staff were one of the main reasons we had such a wonderful stay. A special thank you to the entire team for always being welcoming, helpful, and professional. Your genuine kindness and hospitality did not go unnoticed. You made us feel at home and played a huge role in making our family vacation enjoyable, comfortable, and stress-free. We sincerely appreciate all your hard work and dedication. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to offer more healthy breakfast options and add greater variety to the breakfast menu each day. While the food was good, having the same choices every morning became a bit repetitive during our stay. Other than that, we have no complaints at all. Everything was excellent, and we would gladly recommend this hotel to other travelers. Thank you again to the entire staff for making our stay such a pleasant and memorable experience. "We only stayed one night but I was highly impressed and wished we could stay longer. Highly recommend for any families—with kids or without. Proprietors were very attentive to detail (sidewalk chalk for the kids!), responsive, and exceedingly polite. Room was clean and cute! It’s a mustn’t- miss. We will be back."

"This hotel is perfect for families. The location couldn’t be better, with easy access to Mount Rushmore and all the attractions in Keystone, making it a great home base for exploring the Black Hills. The staff was exceptionally kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Everyone we interacted with went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and appreciated. The amenities were excellent, the property was clean and well-maintained, and the overall value was hard to beat. Between the convenient location, family-friendly atmosphere, great service, and reasonable price, this hotel exceeded our expectations. If you’re visiting the area, especially with kids, I highly recommend the Comfort Inn Keystone. We look forward to staying here again on our next trip to the Black Hills!"

Rushmore Express Keystone

8/10 Good

"Location is the best part of this property. Very close to Mt Rushmore and 1880 Train as well as downtown Keystone. It's a run-down property but our room was clean and comfortable enough. The fitness room is limited and the pool area wasn't the cleanest, but there were a lot of people using it. There is free breakfast - the quality is so-so. Being able to see Mt Rushmore from the entrance on the street and walk into Keystone was nice."

Super 8 by Wyndham Custer/Crazy Horse Area

10/10 Excellent

"We tend to shy away from Super 8s from experiences we've had in the past. EXCEPT, the one in Custer is clean, staff is friendly, pool was excellent and beds/pillows were very comfortable. Since it was within our budget we decided to give it a try. And we were pleasantly surprised. The only complaint was the shampoo and body wash in the rooms were almost empty, but we didn't plan on there being anything in the shower anyways, so we were prepared with our own amenities. It's refreshing to enter a place that is clean smelling, clean looking and quiet. Kudos to your hotel, we enjoyed our stay."
