"Our short break at the Masons Arms was most enjoyable.The staff and service were excellent,the food of a exceptionally high standard for a pub.The accommodation was really very good being refurbished a couple of years ago and the premium room was very spacious and fitted out tastefully.If I could offer a positive critique it would be to change the light bulbs for a brighter type as the room could be quite dark.Overall a very enjoyable stay and we would definitely visit again."

"Located in a lovely setting but starting to look a bit tired throughout. We booked an upgraded room so two nights cost £355.00 Bed and breakfast which I don’t feel was good value. We have stayed in a much nicer hotel with that amount of budget. The room was OK but things like a shower over the bath with a rather tired curtain were not what we had expected. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately I felt the experience didn’t live up to our expectations...

"Thorverton Arms is a very nice pub in a quiet and attractive village. Although it feels as if it is in the middle of the countryside it is convenient for Exeter. There are opportunities for country walks with the millennium green nearby. The pub is clean and the food is good."
