"When we arrived at 10:00 p.m., there was a power outage affecting 40,000 customers in Halifax! The front desk staff were very apologetic, but it wasn't their fault. With a flashlight, they took us to our room and made sure we didn't need anything. We were, however, very disappointed with the breakfast set up. Instead of self serve for the eggs, meat and hashbrowns, this food was behind a counter with 1 server dishing out what each person requested, with her guessing the amount wanted. This made...

"From the exterior and the pictures online, it didn’t look very impressive, but it was very well appointed everything was very new and had a great little sitting area out back to look at the ocean"

"Beautiful location, very friendly and helpful staff. Lyn, at the front desk helped me with my luggage and even set the tv up for me so I wouldn’t miss the World Cup. Delicious breakfast of scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. I highly recommend this hotel."

"Be aware of the room you are choosing. We stayed in Aft Castle room 6. The online pictures show living areas, kitchens etc but we had one very small room and small bathroom, with no additional living areas, not representative of the photos. If you have mobility issues, this is not your room, as it is three floor walk up. As well, there is very limited parking on site, with overflow parking one block away."

"This hotel was extremely maintained, clean and friendly staff. Denny’s and one bar is attached to the hotel. Tim’s, A&W and a gas station is a 2 min walk from the hotel. Lots of things to do or places to dine in only a short drive away. Highly recommend this hotel!"

"The property was located in a more industrial area. It is a dated property that needs some updates desperately. The room smelled musty and of smoke. The room was humid and the sheets and floor felt damp. The air conditioning didn’t work. I do not recommend this property"
