"Hotel was close to local attractions, restaurants and river. My room had a great view of the river. Bed was comfortable and had coffee and tea making facilities and a fridge. The breakfast buffet had a good selection of several cuisines. I found each member of staff that I interacted with to be friendly, courteous and helpful. I enjoyed my stay there and would recommend it to others."

"We stayed at Merdaka for 7 nights and the stay was alright. The first 2 nights was given the road facing room and the windows were not sound proof. Complained about it and the staff was accommodating and changed my room. The hotel is a very old one and not very well maintained. The sheets had stains and bathrooms were old and moldy. The only positive is the staff there are very helpful and polite."

Bonus: my family of three where two of us have wheelchair needs, we found the food court, spa services and convenience store on the property to be very comfortable and convenient. We plan to visit frequently just to order take out from their devine chef and his signature cheese and fries! "

"Evening person at reception was abrupt & not welcoming on three occasions. Not suited to her role. Carpet stains in the corridors of level 8 and level 5 unacceptable. Carpet stains in the two rooms we were in are unacceptable. The bathroom shower floor in the two rooms we stayed in is slippery and dangerous. "
