"Didn’t like being allocated a room for the disabled with an adjoining door, on the ground floor. Not what we paid for. Were then offered an attic room with a skylight type window, you couldn’t see out and it was dark. They then managed to jiggle things around and we had a decent room, the sort we expected. Didn’t use most of the facilities as we were there for a wedding near by but we did eat in the bar area. Food menu was limited and so were the cocktail choices. Don’t know about the restaurant...

"A lovely place to stay in the Welsh Countryside. The room was large, quiet and comfortable. The staff were amazingly friendly (well, let's face it, aren't most Welsh people?). The breakfast was classy and of excellent quality.
I highly recommend this inn for a stay. You won't regret it for a moment.

"5 star downstairs and outside. Grounds are superb.
Room was ok...
Bed was big, as was TV, but there were things that let it down. Cheap furniture, a wobbly toilet, an unsuitably small shelf in shower, cheap tea and coffee. Also only one bath towel between two, and one hand towel - no bath mat.
For an expensive room (even for a Sunday) it was quite basic in lots of ways, and disappoining when compared to the plush bar and seating areas downstairs.
Evening meal and breakfast were excellent....

"Hopefully you’ve read some of the other reviews, because unfortunately, they are absolutely accurate.
I booked this hotel quite far in advance and really wish I had seen the recent reviews mentioning that the elevator had been broken for over a month. As of early October, it was still broken. Having to use the stairs with luggage was extremely inconvenient, and it’s frustrating that the hotel continues to accept bookings without making this issue much more prominent.
Unfortunately, the...

"Hotel is run down and in a poor state. Only interaction I had with staff was on check in and check out and nothing bad to say about the staff, although the maid continually knocked on our door one morning saying “house keeping” “house keeping” at about 08:00am which I was not impressed about being as we were checking out before 11 (check out time) anyway.
Unless you get a bargain don’t bother."
