I didn't even get to stay there and I told Expedia one of my money back because I got there early and they let me check in early and when the manager came in at 11:00 I got to straighten out with her but then that owner come in and she was super rude and at 9:00 when I come back from the grocery store she told me I couldn't get a room key and I needed to pay for another day and called the Topeka Police and the escorted me off the property Total disappointment still waiting on my refund from Expedia

The vent cover in the bathroom was falling off and there was so much dust and grim in the vent. The lady at check in was rude to the other employee at check in.

Smoke detector in room was sitting on the dresser, bugs in bathroom, mold under mat in bathtub, no extra lock on door, pool was closed when we got there. Believe they had a lot of ppl complain so they reopened it, breakfast food half the time was cold.

Hot tub and pool both out of order. Smoke detector in our room was covered in tinfoil. Most likely so that it wouldn’t go off when people smoked in the room. They were most definitely smoking in the hall. Very rude and bitter front desk girl. Room coffee maker broken. Exit doors propped open with rocks. Ice machine also out of order. When I asked about that, I was accused of “having attitude “. We selected this due the Best Western name and reputation. We won’t make that mistake again.

The lobby and check in was nice but it ended there. The bathroom looked like it had been patched together by a toddler, the mattress was about as hard as a piece of plywood and the only covers on the bed were 2 sheets! Will never go to another surestay. Also the breakfast was crap.

The price says it all. If all you want is a bed then this hotel is for you. This is a very run down hotel run by amateurs. The first two rooms they showed me smelled very strongly of weed. Curtains are stained and ripped. Bed covering had a cigarette burn. Toilet bowl cracked. Tubs had some plastic mat glued to the bottom so that it couldn't really be cleaned correctly. Finally got a room with a spa tub that was $121.00 that was apparently above the price point where the weed smokers couldn't afford it and didn't trash the room. Breakfast: First - no coffee available. I had to go to the front desk to ask them for coffee. The biscuits were very dry, the "gravy" was thin and watery, more like soup. Low selection of other items. General facilities: There were multiple cigarette butts outside the front door that the reception lady pushed around with her foot instead of picking them up. The front reception had some seating contraption you can see in the picture that no one will ever use. The baseboards were cracked, dirty, and sloppily painted. The spa and pool were out of order. The strangest part were the plastic mats they had glued down to the bottom of the tubs. There is no possible way that is sanitary. How do they clean that? I thought at first they were the suction cup mats and could be pulled up but they were not. They were plastic mats literally glued down to the bottom of the tub. Best Western should remove their name until all of this is fixed.

If I could give it zero stars I would. Gross and dirty. Our carpet was wet and there was someone’s leftover food in the fridge. Extra door lock was broken so I used the ironing board to feel safe since it was just me and my daughter staying there. Also medication was left by the sink by presumably the last guest…but it should have been found and cleaned up. Never again. Gross gross gross.

This place is extremely run down, broken stuff everywhere. When we checked in the lady was on a personal call and stayed on it throughout the check-in. The eggs at breakfast were room temp.

The sink was clogged up and nasty. The water pressure was low and the toilet did not work properly. I would not start here again. The room was pretty run down.

Staff Support was horrible they had a new woman checking us in who had no idea what she was doing. Took us 45 minutes to get checked in. The night manager had to come get us checked in. And the night manager was seriously rude at a unprofessional level. They charged us $87.00 & said that our payment declined. They when we showed them on our phone that it came out the bank, they said that was them charging us. I told the women I haven't made any stops in Kansas we haven't used this card since we are in Oklahoma. She insisted it wasn't them. Then I showed her the charge says Bestwestern Topeka Kansas & she still insisted it wasn't her. And said we can go to the ATM & Pay cash if our card is going to decline. It's negative 18 degrees outside we didn't want to leave so we told her to run our card again. It worked and she said rudely, " see you must of had your card locked".
