"As a little motel close to a festival venue, the Black Bear Lodge was just what I was looking for. I was prepared for it to be small and basic and for the decor to be somewhat dated. What I found was a motel that was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. The innkeeper was delightful. I would stay there again. "

"Not sure if they are "open for the season" but they were open for Memorial day weekend. I paid full price for a room that definitly needs renovating. The vertical blinds didn't cover the window. Had to take the bed spread off the bed and use it as curtains. The air conditioner fell apart as we tried to turn it on and no phones in the rooms. Tv worked, but no channels..bring a dvd. And most of all no maid service the entire weekend. Not sure about the free breakfast or dinner....Would not...

"This property was wonderful. Easy to find, very clean and welcoming, and plenty of room to make yourself at home. The property owner was easy to reach as well. The only downside, although manageable, was the automatic lock on the door. The door sags and drags a touch and because of this the bolt becomes stuck in the lock and the mechanism cannot unlock the door. We found that lifting the door slightly after entering the code alleviated this problem. Still, this should be addressed by the...
