Make sure that if you book through Expedia that you have a working phone number wherever you're travelling, otherwise, you might end up sleeping in your car like we did!"

"The place was great, and the hosts were friendly. However, after we left, they insisted that we hadn't paid yet for the stay. We had paid via hotels.com, with receipts to prove it. They said we still owed the full amount though, and requested my credit card info (red flag) or a bank payment. I told them I had already paid, then ignored the invoice they sent me. It's possible it was a misunderstanding on their end, but I would be cautious about this place and watch out for potential scams..."
