"Lovely place to stay and staff were so welcoming and helpful. We enjoyd the hearty breakfast. The location is great to travel by train in to Cardiff city centre.
We will return and hopefully arrive earlier to fit in an evening meal - menu looked good."

"Breakfast was very good and in a lovely peaceful garden.
Staff in the hotel were fantastic, really helpful even under pressure. It was horribly hot the weekend that we were there (unusual for Cardiff) but they did everything possible to make us comfortable with fans (no air-conditioning)."

"We discovered in the morning that there were somebody else's used sanitary towels in the bathroom bin. The bin in the room also haad rubbish in it. Also the packet soap had been opened and presumably used as the packaging waas in the bin. there was no shampoo.
When we complained at reception the receptionist was very unhelpful and basically got cross with us when we pushed the point showing us the QR code we could use to complain."

"We were on the first floor so the window was so high up you couldn’t see out of it. The quilt cover was ripped at the top and had been put on inside out. The shower was ok but no instruction for use were anywhere to be seen. Staff were very helpful. It was a bit noisy at night as sound proofing isn’t amazing but good enough. The pitch of the ceiling in our room came down low enough that I could hit my head on it."

Staff were nice
Building needs a Renovation
Rooms were big but very old outdated carpets and curtains and furniture. Our carpets had stains on them. Brilliant location opposite the football / rugby stadium. And opposite the castle and central to all the shops and bars and restaurants.
But it was very old tired looking. End of the day we just went there to sleep as we only came for the Arsenal v Man City match from London."

"The room was great, very clean and spacious, nicely furnished. We booked for 4 adults but the room that was booked for us was for 3 adults and 1 child. The staff was able to sort it out promptly by offering us another room, however something that might be worth calling about for the future. Breakfast was great, and in very good location!"

"This is quite premier inn like. The car parking in Cardiff was the thing that attracted us. The room felt tired and the linen was clean but the toilet and under bed needed a lot more focus. Toilets smelled big like men’s in pub and we asked for them to be dealt with. Small improvement but not big enough to get to four star quality. I felt it needed to be deeper cleaned between stats and as we checked we hadn’t lost anything under the bed we found a hair clip and quite a bit of dust."
