"Exceptional 3 star hotel, evening meal menu excellent value (3 courses £30) and the food was really very good. We drove with with a dog and there was no surcharges for car or pet. We could eat in the lounge area with the dog. Room was a good size and very comfortable and clean Staff were friendly and helpful We will definitely stay here again"

"This was our first time staying at a hotel that wasn't staffed. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The accommodations were very modern. Plenty of hot water. Easy access to both train and bus stations. Walking distance to a variety of restaurants and grocery stores. Quiet. We didn't hear street noise. Stairs are steep, as others have noted. "Lovely staff, however the rooms need some TLC. Appreciate when you paying cheap you are not expecting anything fancy, but the soap dispenser was broken in the bathroom and replaced with a bottle of "bath soak". Walls are paper thin, bed was hard and we found a nail on the floor. If you are hardy and want a cheap location near the beautiful national park, you will be fine, but bring your own supplies."

"Booked at short notice, the staff were very accommodating and the hotel easy to be in with a family. The rooms were lovely. The view from the property is stunning, we will definitely return. The only downside was the lack of gluten free options available from the bar menu. That is something that perhaps we could have mitigated had we not booked at short notice.
