Nice hotel with some improvement areas

Great location vs the old city center, beach and railway station. Nice and clean hotel. Two improvement areas; internet is not very good (male receptionist meant since it worked in the reception area is was ok all over the hotel, they also told there where only one router in the hotel and since I was the only one telling them there was no problem - then after 2 days there where some guys fixing the router outside my room… honesty is always the best answer). Another issue was that the gym was not free - first time I have experienced to have to pay for it - no info on the website about this!

This hotel is located just outside of the town center. It is about a three minute walk to the middle of Tropea. The hotel is very nice and well-maintained, it has a large pool and is very quiet.

WE had to make an emergency stay at the last moment. Pleasantly surprised at how beautiful Tropis is. The grounds were beautful. The rooms were very nce and the Staff was extremely courteous. Speaking English to guide us through an already frustrating day. The price per night may be a bit on the high-end, but absolutely worth every penny!

Hotel itself is very Italian in best old school way. The staff is friendly. Hotel is clean. The location for some people could be a bit difficult to reach as it is on the mountain, but the view speak for itself, so it’s worth. I was living in a room with a seaview. Breakfast is simple, yet tasty. All products look very natural and authentic. I appreciated best fruits at breakfast buffet.

I loved the hotel it eas just far enough of the action. 5 min walkto everything so very quiet wen you get back. Nice pool. Only down side i could put is morning buffet alwas the same not cooked bacon and small hotdog sausage everyday. Would need a little effort to spice it up a bit. Otter thant that all ok.

Hotel Tropis is OK, but no resort.

Hotel Tropis is nicely located with an easy walk down to old town Tropea. Room was nice, but a bit outdated. The view was good. The property was clean. Areas for improvement include coffee makers in the room because you could only get coffee from the barista when dining area was open. The service staff were great, but the front desk staff were rude. The food was OK — not great. As a resort, there really was nothing “resort” about it. They proposed charging a “resort fee,” plus charging for pool towels and charging to use the gym. If it is a resort, then all of those items should not have a charge. The parking was available, but not convenient. The gym is absolutely the worst. The location is a closed-off basement with no sunshine; the equipment is old; and in order to access it you need the front desk to come with you to let you in.

Hotel Tropis is great! It is clean and the rooms.are comfortable. 4 minute walk to train station. Short walk to city centre and the beach. The pool is great and relaxing environment. The breakfast has everything, and the staff is very nice. Absolutely loved, I would definitely return.

Good location, a 3 minute walk to downtown. The included parking is convenient since it is otherwise difficult to park in the area. Watch out for traffic if walking out of the property, specially with children, since it is near a busy intersection with no walkway. Property has a restaurant and a nice swimming pool. Good view of downtown from the top. Staff was attentive and helpfull.
