Holiday Inn Express St. Louis West - O'Fallon by IHG
8/10 Good
"Staff seemed confused by a few of our requests. No hair dryer in our room. It’s been many years since I stayed at a hotel without a hairdryer somewhere in the bathroom if not mounted on the wall. I sent my husband to the Front Desk and he said they did that seem to know what he was talking about, but said they would find one. The previous night, we asked if each tv in the suite should have its own remote or if we had to share one remote. Apparently somebody knocked later, but my husband was in the shower and I did not hear them at the door from the bedroom. I did not have time to be patient for the hairdryer. We had to leave for our planned event within 30 minutes and my hair was drying on its own. I chose to walk across the parking lot to a different hotel to use the dryer in my sister’s room. My only other complaint was the daily knocking by room service asking if we needed the room cleaned. Over our 3 night stay, we spent very little time in the room with the exception of sleeping and showering. The Do Not Disturb tag was on our door from our arrival to our departure. I just don’t understand why someone needed to knock on a daily basis. Otherwise the staff was friendly and helpful"
"Undergoing a renovation. The lobby and first floor were under construction and not usable.
My room was in the 3rd floor very nicely updated clean and a good values."
"This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this Hotel. It never disappoints! Staff is ALWAYS welcoming, friendly & accommodative. Awesome Continental Breakfast, Continental Dinner Buffet & 3 Adult Beverages per adult/per room daily!! Pool & Hot Tub are Delightful! Clean & Comfortable Rooms & Beds. Easy parking & Check In. Daily Fountain Drinks & Popcorn Provided. Truly almost an unbelievable value!"
"We stayed at this hotel 3 days and again 2 days. Hotel was very clean and reasonably priced. However, hotel is ten years old and requires upgrades or some would say TLC. I have a relative in the hotel industry, and he stated major hotels perform upgrades once it reaches seven years old. Furniture has chips, shower curtain hanging, cracks in sinks etc. Staff were friendly but often not behind the service counter. Full breakfast was decent although my breakfast was cold on two occasions. Fortunately, there was a microwave nearby. A biggie for me as I'm retired military was the American flag was very tattered. Would I stay there again? Probably, my main concern is cleanliness and comfortable beds which were above average for this type of hotel. If the hotel declines much more such as a Day's Inn I experienced, then I won't return."
"Old and tired motel. Cob webs down the wall of the bathroom. I travel for work and this is the worst motel in St Louis, I've stayed in, so far. I won't book here again."
