A lovely, quiet, well-maintained boutique hotel in a quiet setting. A pleasant main street of a few shops and restaurants just a block away. We especially enjoyed breakfasts at a local market. The hotel is well placed for enjoying the Finger Lakes area and is fairly close to both Ithaca and Watkins Glen.

Couldn't ask for anything better. Beautiful house, comfortable, spacious and tastefully appointed room. We stayed for four nights while touring the Finger Lakes. Loved it.

We loved our stay at 16 Elm. The hotel is really a converted mansion that has been meticulously maintained and decorated. It is absolutely beautiful. We really enjoyed spending time in the common areas, sipping coffee in the mornings and relaxing in the living room in the evenings. The town of Trumansburg is just a few steps away, with its lively Main Street and fun restaurants. It is well situated as a base for exploring the area’s outdoor attractions and wineries. Nicole was very helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay there again if we return to the finger lakes.

We had a great stay at the property- it’s truly a gorgeous house that makes you feel right at home. They have a great coffee/snacks selection and we found the fireplace so cozy to have tea and read a book at night. Trumansburg is also a very cute town and you’re walkable to the main strip of shops/restaurant. The only note we have to make is that if you book the twin room, the bathroom is not attached to your room but instead outside on the main landing by the stairs (you can lock with a key). The shower is great and it is nice to have privacy of a completely separate room, but it is a bit odd and at night especially I recommend bringing some slippers, pjs you’re ok with other guests seeing you in, and hope you don’t need to use the restroom in the middle of the night/forget your clothes or toiletries when you’ve already hopped in the shower! It really wasn’t a big deterrent but I’d wished I’d known prior to booking.

The entire property is gorgeous, immaculate rooms with great decor and design, lovely shared areas, stocked seltzer for guests, and great coffee. Parking was easy and the town is lovely. Will come back!!

We loved our stay at 16 Elm! The property is gorgeous and so convenient to restaurants and the wineries. Our room was very quiet and the grounds seemed like our own private garden. The sitting area was great for a game of cribbage, even though I lost. We also enjoyed golfing, Lively Run Goat Farm and Cayuga Dairy while in the area.

A beautiful home where the downstairs public rooms are available for all the guests! Beautiful gardens to relax and enjoy. A very short walk to restaurants and shops. Lots of special touches such as coffee, tea, and snacks available. Within a short drive of many wineries. Very quiet! A different experience from the traditional hotels.

Romantic, luxurious, clean, quiet place. Fabulous bathroom; especially the shower! Good restaurants nearby. EV charger across the street was very handy. Nice spacious common areas with big tables for relaxing, sipping coffee, and working on our laptops. When there was some confusion with our check in, kind and friendly staff responded immediately to help us out.

The hotel was fantastic! The room was clean, nicely decorated and spacious. My son enjoyed his room on the sun porch, and we all loved the public spaces. It felt like home.

The restoration of the Inn and the furnishings have been done well. It is very quiet and set back from the street. What is odd is that there was no staff at all onsite and evidence that no one had been there to pick up dirty dishes or restock snacks. We also texted the number we were given about an issue and got no reply.

An Incredible Find! What a gem! 16 West Elm Boutique Hotel is an absolutely beautiful property. The home has been lovingly and immaculately restored to reflect the time period and character of the original house, while still offering all of the modern amenities you could possibly want. From the moment you walk in, you feel less like you’re staying at a hotel and more like you’ve been invited into a friend’s beautiful home. Guests have full use of the main floor rooms and gorgeous gardens, which makes the whole experience feel so personal and relaxing. The attention to detail is incredible. The bedding is so comfortable, the blackout shades make for a great night’s sleep, and the AC keeps everything perfectly comfortable. Every little touch makes you feel welcome. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend 16 West Elm. It’s one of those special places you’re excited to discover and even more excited to return to. What a find!
