"I had a very disappointing experience at The Claridge Hotel. When I arrived, I was told that pets are not allowed unless they are service animals, even though my booking through Expedia stated the hotel was pet-friendly. This was very frustrating and put me in an uncomfortable situation during my stay.
The cleanliness was unacceptable. My room was not cleaned at all during my stay—not even once. I had to request trash bags and cleaning supplies and clean the room myself, which is something I should never have to do at a hotel.
The elevators were another major issue. Out of five elevators, only one was working, and I had to wait anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes just to go up or down. It made getting around the hotel extremely inconvenient.
The worst part was the pool area. There were roaches everywhere—I even have pictures. It was disgusting and completely ruined the experience. On top of that, the entire hotel felt dirty. The hallways constantly smelled like marijuana, and there were people going up and down who appeared to be under the influence.
To make matters worse, I had to wait anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour just to get clean towels.
Overall, this hotel was a horrible experience. What was advertised online was completely different from what I encountered in person. I would not recommend staying here at all."
