"It’s the location to the beach/pier and downtown that is probably the best recommendation. Easy walk to beach and free trolley (about 2 blocks)
There is only 1 elevator and 1 stairs - not convenient if you’re located all the way around the building as happened for me. But, doable.
The room is clean but looks worn… Levelor blinds didn’t work, furniture scratched and chipped, rust around the drain in the bathtub. Pillows looked like they’d been washed too many times and were a lumpy mess.

"Everything was very nice given the level of the hotel. The view is spectacular. The breakfast is adequate but not hot other than great waffle makers. The staff is very helpful. The hot tub is hot and provides a nice view from the area looking at the ocean. The garage is clean and sufficient.
It overlooks PCH but the closed windows muffled the noise."

"I stayed here for one night only because it was close to my friend's hotel and because it was relatively inexpensive. It did the job, but it was hardly first-rate. For one thing, it's more of a motel, not a hotel. If you're on the second floor, you'll be walking up stairs to get there. The WiFi in my room was about 2Mbps, so it was pretty much unusable. There were no outlets at the desk to plug my laptop in so I ended up using it on battery. The remote control on the TV was not very responsive....

"We were 'upgraded' into a suite as it was my birthday. But the suite was an accessible one and it meant the bathroom/ shower was tailored for those with mobility issues. There was no bathtub and the shower did not have a ledge and so water went everywhere. The room itself was very dated and not as well kept as the ones we've stayed in the past.
The hallways were musty smelling in the tower we were in also.
Overall for the price it was totally fine. But it definitely justified the lower price...
