"It was a pleasant experience at the Lakeside hotel. The room was spacious and valet with all the amenities at easy reach. There was a rattly mixer at the basin, which the staff were more than happy to attend to, but I told them that they can do so after my stay. Similarly, there were spots on the pillows but the pillows were not smelly or unpleasant to sleep on. Clean crisp sheets and a front room area for wet items. During the stormy season. "We really appreciated the restoration work here - they’ve kept the heritage feel of the hotel intact without making it feel dated. Despite being above a pub and right on a main road, the rooms were surprisingly quiet. Great location for exploring North Sydney. The common room and kitchen was a lovely surprise. The complimentary breakfast was a nice bonus that made mornings easy."
