There was a big loud tour bus offloading at the same time, and the young woman at the front desk was so considerate and gracious — without asking, she guided us off to the side and checked us in ahead of the group. "Following its recent refurbishment, The Tarbet Hotel blends historic elegance with modern comfort in a stunning location, great for hillwalkers and couples. My only critique is that the dinner service was a bit slow and the menu felt like poor value for money, but we enjoyed the fish pie and chicken schnitzel. Breakfast was exceptional!"

"This is a fantastic location to stay. The falls are stunning and the Inn couldn’t be in a better location. We could see them from our triple room despite it being the last room in the corridor. "Had a very nice 2-night stay at Loch Long Hotel with my daughter and grandson. On arrival the reception area is very bright, modern and welcoming. The man on reception is extremely polite. After reading some really negative reviews I wasn't expecting much but was more than pleasantly surprised by how nice it actually is. The owners are wonderful people who prepared a 5-star breakfast for our family and complemented it with friendly conversation.
