"The night at The Doubletree before our early next day flight, always starts our holiday off and this occasion was again a delight from arrival with warm welcoming staff with tasty cookies through to our evening meal and comfortable bed in a clean quiet room - perfect start!"

"Check in was ok, room had everything needed (lots of hot water, hairdryer etc.) It was pretty noisy the one night I stayed there and it wasn’t easy to sleep. Nice accommodation and a good location."

"Location, 10 minutes from the airport was excellent. Although very close to the A1, the hotel is situated within green and leafy gardens. Our room, third floor looking over the car park, had countryside views and we could hear very little road noise even with the window open. Clean and comfortable room and good to have a shower separate from the bath. Reception and bar staff welcoming, helpful and very friendly throughout. "Good parking, pub and food next door, outdoor shopping centre 10 minutes walk as well as the metro train station to the city centre."

"Fantastic location. Ideal for what we needed but also really rural-feeling and peaceful. We found it quiet and charming. We enjoyed wandering in amongst the old orchard and down through the copse, across the scrubland that forms part of the floodplain of the Tyne. It was good to know there are badgers around although we weren’t lucky enough to see anyway. The dawn chorus was impressive. Very pleasant indeed. Definitely will book again if we’re back in the area. "

"Pleasantly surprised for the price we payed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing was to much trouble. Rooms clean and spacious. Although no tea and coffee facilities in the room. These were available in the reception area at no extra cost. I was able to park at the back of the hotel but parking is limited. Will definitely stay here again and recommend Cost of an uber was approx £6 to Newcastle town centre."

"We only stayed for one night. The contact to the Premier Inn before our arrival was very good. When we arrived the receptionist was welcoming and very friendly!!! Just a different receptionist on the following morning wasn't really friendly. Otherwise we had a good experience with this hotel."

"How central it was and the layout was beautiful"

"First time we’ve stayed here , and being relatively local, visit Newcastle often. The hotel is classy and comfortable, with brilliant staff . A few minutes walk to the Glasshouse and located on the quayside with some great restaurants and bars nearby. Parking was easy with hotel reserved parking at the rear of the hotel. Without a doubt, this will be our first choice for overnighters in Newcastle."
