"Everything was mostly great. Except it was a bit overpriced (especially the spa) and minibar person kept adding stuff I didn't use to my bill. Also they don't tell you what perks you have depending on your reservation. You have to ask. Also I stayed in a junior suite for 8 days and they wouldn't give me a late check out. "Small room. Not very clean, but the building is really old so, whatever. Valet is $75 plus tip. They charge you $50 for “incidentals” and another $30 for room perks or something. So be prepared to pay a lot more money after your room rate. Great view and the bartender in the lobby was wonderful. Everything else about this place was meh."

"We had a good stay at The Royal Sonesta Chicago Downtown. The room was clean, and the view was amazing. The hotel location is excellent and very walkable, close to many of the main attractions in downtown Chicago. The staff was okay and helpful when we asked for assistance. I did expect the room to feel a little more luxurious, and the shower needed some maintenance. Overall, it was a good experience because of the clean room, beautiful view, and great location. I would give it 4.5 stars."
