Almost Perfect
Our Villa, #12 at the end of the property was amazing. From daily breakfast in our villa to tea time each afternoon the service was wonderful. We loved the courtyard and pool which were almost completely private, except for a rafting business across the river. The employes are all very friendly and attentive. They assisted us with dinner and spa reservations when needed, and there is a free shuttle into Ubud The property grounds are clean and beautiful. There is one problem that could be addressed. We loved the outdoor shower however the bathroom floor as well as the wood deck by the pool are extremely slippery when wet, and quite dangerous. We would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay near Ubud. There are many good restaurants and spas nearby as well.

Honeymoon Stay!
We had a wonderful stay at Samkhya Villas for our honeymoon. We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed the view of the rice paddy field and private pool. The breakfast was tasty and different each day. I highly recommend taking advantage of the spa and getting a massage! We had fun taking the golf cart down the hill and they give you a phone to call when you are ready so its not too much of an annoyance. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Their driver Wayan is nice and knowledgeable about Bali. He showed us around for two days when we were there and we learned so much from him. Overall great stay and we would return!

Lovely cottage hotel far off beaten path
A quaint hotel far away from the busy Ubud center. The design of the hotel is very sweet and lovely. Great for a couple who in on a romantic holiday. The reception staff is fantastic and very helpful. Also so fantastic to have available 24 hours a day. They packed me an early boxed breakfast when I left for a sunrise activity. It's not as great for a solo traveler, though. The peace and quiet comes with a price of being relatively far from the activities of Ubud. The free shuttle is wonderful but it has limited times so you are dependent on taxis to get you back to the hotel. Every taxi driver I engaged didn't know where the hotel was. Even with the address to provide for google maps. You can pay a small fee for a hotel driver to take you to the town center during non-shuttle times which is nice. One reason I booked this hotel was to relax and use the private pool. Even though it was July, it was too cold to use so the pool was just something to look at, not use. I spoke with some other guests and they had the same issue. Be advised that the hotel is set back off of the street so you need to take a very bumpy golf cart ride to/from hotel reception to the street where you then pick up the taxi or the shuttle, and vice versa. They do provide a cell phone pager to call the front desk once you're at the pick up point so they send a cart. That is also avail 24 hours a day. It's not a problem but it does feel a little like you can't just be independent.

Five Stars - best property I have stayed at - the plunge pool was a must - over-looking the rain forest - privacy was great - in room breaky was fantastic - staff perfect - this property is secluded - but management have understood this and you can get a golf cart up to the main drag at any time - plus they run a regular shuttle service into Ubud - the restaurant was great - so this property was perfect and will be the only place I stay at in Ubud - should be more like this.

Had a great time at Samkhya. Exteded our stay and thereby enjoyed two different villas, both very good and also very different in the layout. Can only recommend it. Good massage, good food and great service. The only improvement we would wish for would be wifi, but that we didn't really need as we were more focused on NOT using our phones :-)

Amazing place!
We stayed here for the first couple days of our honeymoon and it was so amazing. The property is tucked away on the back. It is very quiet and relaxing. We loved having our own little private pool and the staff was absolutely amazing. They are so friendly and accommodating. We will stay here again :) one thing to note you can not get to it by car. There is a golf cart that comes up to the street to take you down.

Detta var andra gången vi bodde här. Förra gången var 2016. Servicen har tyvärr sjunkit på denna tiden. Man missade flera kvällar att göra iordning rummet inför kvällen genom att tända myggspiraler. Man missade flera gånger att plocka bort tallrikar från frukost ,eller afternoon the. Man höll på att bygga ett trädäck sidan om vårt boende så man höll på med elmaskiner och hamra i flera dagar. Och ingen ursäkt eller något för detta.

Beautiful peaceful villas surrounded by nature
Lovely spot to stay if you want to relax and get away from it all in nature. Villas either overlook a small valley or the rice paddies - either way, you’ll be surrounded by greenery. Every villa has a private pool and day bed for lounging in, and you can have breakfast served in your room or garden if you like. The villas themselves are beautiful with lovely wooden furniture and semi-outdoor bathrooms. The location is great if you want more peace and quiet than central Ubud offers. You can walk into Ubud in 30-40 minutes (lovely stroll through the paddies) or else take the free shuttle. There are also quite a few restaurants nearby if you’d rather stay out of the town. The spa (Temuku Spa) is great. I highly recommend the Stress Reliever package (particularly the Temuku Signature Massage) if you want to work out your knots. Restaurant was nice with views over the paddies. Staff are also lovely - welcoming and helpful. Overall, I love this place! It’s not the cheapest compared to some, but it is really nice and I keep going back when I want to treat myself to a little bit of zen!

Nice little gateway overlooking rice farms.
Amazing location, comfort stay and very good service. Food is good but has some scope of improvement. Bikes are available which are old and helmets are really miserable. They have private tours available which we took, not recommending though. For tours better check tripadvisor.

พนักงานบริการยอดเยี่ยม อยู่ในพื้นที่ ๆ ไม่พลุกพล่านมาก (แต่ด้านหลังติดถนนเล็ก ๆ เลยทำให้มีเสียงมอเตอร์ไซค์) Room service ราคาพอๆ กับที่ ubud city แต่รสชาติดีกว่ามาก ๆ แนะนำให้สั่งกินได้เลย Location อาจจะไกลจากเมืองหน่อย ทำให้ต้องใช้ Free Shuttle ซึ่งมีถึงแค่ 17.00 แล้วขากลับเป็น 22.00 เลย ทำให้ต้องเหมาแท็กซี่กลับ ราคาตั้งแต่ 100,000 RUP (หรือราว ๆ 230 บาท) เลย ข้อเสียอีกข้อ คือ Air ค่อนข้างตัวเล็ก ทำให้ไม่ค่อยเย็น พอเจออากาศร้อน ๆ มาก นี่ไม่เย็นเอาซะเลย แถม ห้องน้ำ ไม่ค่อยส่วนตัว หากไม่ได้ไปกับครอบครัว อาจจะลำบากหน่อย [Air conditioner is too small for the villa, that make the room so hot] [Bathroom doesn't private] ใกล้กับ Rafting ที่ Ayung River ไปไม่ไกล แต่หากต้องการไปที่อื่น ๆ ใน Bali ค่อนข้างไกลเลยทีเดียวเชียว

HIGHLY RECOMMEND, most wonderful stay!
Everything about my experience at Samkhya Villas was phenomenal. They went above and beyond in every aspect to make sure we were comfortable and happy with everything. Very private villas, you can't hear any other guest or staff. Whenever we needed to get somewhere or up to the town, they were there waiting and ready. Their service was genuine, kind and outstanding. Every staff member was punctual and helpful. All the activities we did were booked through the villa and they were wonderful, not to touristy and just the right amount of time. They had great ideas on what to do and see and knew how to set it up just right. I can not rave enough about how wonderful our experience here was!!!

Beautiful villas
Amazing hotel in the rice paddies in Ubud. Beautiful villas with private pools. The food is great and the staff are lovely. Slightly further out of the town centre but a free shuttle runs there and back several times a day, and staff are always happy to book a taxi for you. Would definitely revisit if we're ever in Ubud again.

Quintessential Ubud Experience
Charming private villa in a secluded resort overlooking the rice paddys. Accessible only by golf cart from the main road. I was traveling solo and felt very safe and attended to. Convenient shuttles into Ubud daily. Great place to get away from it all. The staff was beyond measure. Loved my stay.

Serenity in Ubud
We stayed at samkhya villa for 10 days and it was amazing, besides the occasional animal noises and redundant breakfast. You cannot drive into the villa but can call for pickup at the main road. Staff was more than accommodating and friendly. We stayed in villa 4 and had a view of the rice fields. Free shuttle to the ubud center is provided, however, we used the villa's taxi which is approx. $6 USD to take us a little farther at times. The villa is away from the hustle and bustle and we appreciated the lack of horn honking and vehicle smog. Because it's away from the center of Ubud, the air is cleaner and cooler. We would definitely book again in the future.

Aivan mielettömän upea paikka! Jos ikinä palaamme Balille menemme ehdottomasti Samkhya Villasiin! Aamiainen kymppi plus. Huomioivat ruokarajoitteet ja dieetit todella upeasti. Ihana sijainti ja aivan ihastuttava henkilökunta; kaikki hoituu ja järjestyy heidän avulla. Harmitti lähinnä että 2 viikon lomalla vietimme siellä vain 4 yötä. Ensi kerralla ehdottomasti enemmän!

Volver a la villa es volver a casa, pero mejor!
La villa es muy tranquila y súper bonita, limpieza diaria y exhaustiva, quizás no está en el centro de Ubud, pero creo que así es todavía más auténtica y que le hace tener esa paz y tranquilidad que le caracterizan tanto. Igualmente se facilita un shuttle gratuito a Ubud que no tarda ni 10 minutos. La piscina es privada dentro de la villa, el agua está fresquita. Los desayunos son impresionantes, todo riquísimo y cada día puedes escoger lo del día siguiente, además te lo sirven en la habitación a la hora que les digas. El restaurante tiene una carta bastante amplia y con opciones para todos los gustos. Un punto que marca la diferencia fue que fueron totalmente flexibles con horarios, recogidas, transporte. Personal increíblemente amable, nos ha dado mucha pena despedirnos de ellos, todos grandes profesionales y encantadores al máximo, nos han ayudado en todo lo que han podido. Ofrecen servicio de masaje y lavandería dentro del hotel. Y tienen disponibles varias actividades y excursiones por si no tienes del todo planeado tu viaje. Y a cada cosa que hemos necesitado la respuesta ha sido siempre una gran sonrisa. Os recordaremos siempre. Ha sido el alojamiento ideal para nuestra luna de miel. Gracias por hacerlo posible.

The great escape
This place is the perfect escape away from Bali's hustle and bustle. You don't hear taxi's horns, you only hear the sound of running water from the rice irrigation. It's a beautiful walk into town through the rice paddies too!

プライベート空間を独り占めできる大人のヴィラ！
GWにクタからUberで移動しましたが、ヴィラのフロントまではタクシーで入ることはできず、ドライバーさんとホテルスタッフさんと電話をしてもらい、バス停で待合せをすることとなりました。5分後にゴルフカートのようなものでお迎えに来てもらい、細い道を通って無事にチェックイン。 部屋はプール付きのプライベート感を感じる素晴らしい部屋で、朝ごはんとアフタヌーンティは部屋まで持ってきてもらえ、見た目も味も最高でした！！ スタッフさんの笑顔も素敵で、こちらのリクエストに何でも答えてくれました。王宮への移動もシャトルバスで送ってくれます。アフタヌーンティを楽しんでから夕方に王宮に移動し、夜22時のシャトルバスでいつも帰ってきました。 クタ、ウヴド、サヌールで４件のホテルを利用しましたが、１番のお気に入りのホテルだと思います、また利用したいと思います！！

Invigorating experience next to vast paddy fields
I've just realized the difficulty I am about to face describing this beautiful, enigmatic, small community of 5 villas (some more being built). The pretty manicured garden is shared with her sister villa, Tembuku. This villa enjoys the natural breeze from facing the wide open fbut annoying on equal parts was the constant smoke from the open burning at these farms. The river right in front of the villa creates such a wonderful ambience. However, the gushing sound from the river cascade located immediately in front of our villa #1 was loud (unless we locked ourselves in the room behind closed doors). It is better to request for villa #2 or #3. To get into Samkhya, a buggy will pick you up from the main road (must be arranged with reception). After checking in, they will lend you a phone. The short journey into & out of Samkhya via a tiny tiny lane is exciting and wonderfully scenic. Just keep all body parts that you treasure within the boundaries of the vehicle! The traffic lane stops at Samkhya. After Samkhya, motorbikes keep going for another few meters; then it's all feet - through even narrower lanes into a dreamy plateau ofpaddy fields. Samkhya is 5 mins / rp60-100k cab from Ubud town. Free shuttle had limited timing. F&B price was acceptable, breakfast was repetitive, pool was nice but small, room immaculate, outdoor bathroom a little uncomfortable as toilet was placed in a tight corner past 2 sliding doors. Massages were hit & miss. I wish you an enjoyable Bali vacay

In villa with individual swimming pool, service by all staff excellent. Shuttle can take you to Ubud and pick you up at set times. We had a tour arranged by the villa - very good. They also dropped us back at the airport.

Awesome staff!
The staff were super accomodating when we wanted to move rooms. They were so kind and helpful and smiled all the time. The room was so relaxing. Something about this place just chills you out. The only recommendation to hotel would be to provide more water each day. Can be tricky to find as long way off the road and construction noises could be heard from the room but nothing too loud. A little while away from the main part of Ubud but the shuttle service sorts that out. Only problem is second to last shuttle is at 5:30pm and then last one is at 10pm so you want to stay out for a long time for you want to go for dinner but we could have caught a taxi back.

Accueil excellent avec petite boisson rafraîchissante à l'arrivée - un personnel dévoué et très amical - un spa fantastique et un room service très efficace: bravo au chef en cuisine qui nous a régalé tous les soirs avec des spécialités locales fabuleuses! Relaxing Ubud experience
Amazing stay -- probably the most beautiful villa I've ever stayed in. They made towel animals and spread flower petals everywhere upon our arrival, including having a beautiful bath prepared. The villas are located deep in the rice paddies with very narrow local access which made getting in and out quite tricky. Hotel provides free buggy and shuttle service though shuttle times are a bit infrequent.

Romantic weekend completely ruined!
My husband and I were hoping to have a romantic weekend in a nice hotel facing the rice paddies and it was a horrible experience! We got a room next to a room where workers were trying to finish the room and making a lot of noise by using tools. We asked the works to be stopped so we can enjoy our holiday and the quietness of the rice paddies, which clearly was disturbed. It is a bit shocking and very frustrating for us to come from the other side of the world and then not be able to rest and relax. They stopped for a little bit and then restarted again. I asked again to stop the works but apparently they had made commitments to finish by a certain date and that was more important than the satisfaction of their customers. I find it unacceptable that they didn't warn us about the construction works at the time we booked or that they continued to work despite our complaints. The staff was clearly annoyed with it but they had received clear instructions from the management and couldn't do anything to amend the situation.

Private secluded villa, far from Ubud
The villa was amazing. The room was huge, new, and clean. The bathroom was gigantic (plenty of room to unpack clothes and toiletries), with separate outdoor soaking tub, shower, and toilet. The landscaping of the private yard was beautifully maintained. The pool was a good size. The view of the rice fields was nice and I caught a clear day for sunrise over the fields. Breakfast was delivered (albeit 30 mins late each day) to the back patio. Even though the next villa was occupied, you could not hear them both inside and outside. Having now stayed at two villas in Ubud with private pools, I can hands down say Samkhya is leagues superior! The major downside of the villa is it's location. It's not just a 15min drive to town (fine), but the quarter mile walking path between the villa and the main road makes arranging your own transport difficult (e.g., uber). The last shuttle to town is 5pm; it would have been nice to have one later, at least at 7 or even 8pm. For 84,000Rp you can get a shuttle at non-scheduled times.

Rice Paddy
I spent a few nights at Samkya Villas, surrounded by rice paddies and in the middle of nature. The hotel cannot be reached by car, so it is very quiet and remote. A free shuttle however is provided regularly to access Ubud city. The staff at the hotel is extremely welcoming and obliging. I loved my stay there and would highly recommend it!

Amazing area, extremely relaxing, wonderful staff, extremely helpful, great bathroom and outdoor shower, very good privacy, city centre only 2mins away.

静かなホテル
スタッフがとても優しく、気さくに接してくれる。朝食を部屋まで持ってきてくれるが、どのメニューもとても美味しく毎朝の楽しみになった。ウブドの中心までは歩いていける距離ではないが、シャトルバスがそれなりの本数あり、不便に感じたことはなかった。中心地から離れていることでとても静かな環境にある。プライベートプールが部屋にあり、暑いときはすぐに入ることができた。部屋も二人で過ごすには十分な広さがあったが、バスルームが半オープンエアであるため、開放感がある一方虫は入って来やすい。気にはならなかったが、虫が嫌いな人はきついかもしれない。

Great service and very nice villa!
Villa was lovely and nice view over rice paddies. Staff service was amazing! Such wonderful, friendly and service oriented people. The food was very nice and loved having our own little pool to chill in.
