One of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Food was good and the hotel was very peaceful. The only inconvenience is it is far from town. But with a scooter we got around easily. They do offer scooter rentals and private drivers.

Surprising excellent

We got a good price for a regular room (not private pool room) and it was higher than our expectations. The location is around 20 minute drive to the center, but it’s located in a super calm, quiet area. The staff were pretty friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very basic, you get to choose from American breakfast and continental, they can be served at your room, pool or dining table. The continental is a toast with couple of jams, butter, 1 croissant, some fruits and a drink. The breakfast might need some enhancing but overall the stay was very relaxing and enjoyed

I will definitely be back! Swarapadi Villa is truly an oasis of calm and I absolutely loved it even though I was on my own. Bed and pillows are super comfortable and outdoor bathing area is novel and appropriate for this place. Ubud town centre is a short drive away or a long walk and there are superb shops, cafes and restaurants. Above all else, the Bali ess people are so warm, friendly and gentle. Villa could do with some attention around the pool area (the decking and sun loungers) although the pool was delightful nevertheless. Breakfast was excellent and the Balinese coffee to die for. Loved every minute of my stay 🙏

I stayed at Swarapadi Villa for 3 nights. The staff were welcoming and wonderful throughout! The rooms are fabulous and feel like a great Bali experience. I would definitely stay here again. Just know that getting to and from requires some transport - but it’s very quick, easy and cheap to arrange! Thanks to the team there, I do hope to be back again in the near future 😊

Our honeymoon stay was magical! The villas here have names, and the "Gong" villa was perfect for us. Large, comfy, mosquito-netted bed, very effective AC cooling, and an enormous indoor/outdoor combo bathroom. Mostly covered, and completely private, but with access to the sky in parts. And yes, there was the occasional visiting tropical critter. True anywhere in Bali: there are ants outside. Also, we found a tiny frog that makes an occasional and very unique sound... took us forever to find the source! Anyway. Huge tub, two showers (one "normal," one stunning bamboo spout affair under the sky). We loved it! Beautiful infinity pool, simple but delicious breakfast options, and gorgeous overall design: luxurious, and creative. But the one thing that sets Swarapadi apart—and that truly made our first trip to Bali absolutely wonderful—was the manager, Novi, and her staff. They were more than one could hope for; they were practically our temporary Bali family. Pickup from the airport? Text Novi before you leave. Need a ride anywhere on the island? Want a scuba trip to a neighboring island? A scooter for the day/week? Novi. Horseback on the beach at sunset? Yep. Novi. Not sure what to do tomorrow? Ask Novi. She (or a member of her family) are the real deal, with a friendliness that is often sorely missed in the "professional service industry." Book this place. Unless you need (and can afford) the spotless, sterile perfection of Four Seasons, etc... You won't be disappointed!

Heaven on earth has a name, it's 'Swarapadi Villa'. It's the friendly people and genuine smiles that greets you before the beauty and quietness of the place truly puts you under a spell for the duration of your stay. Beautifully laid out gardens, pathways and water-features fill the quiet spaces between the individual bedrooms (only 4 in all!) and common areas while a natural flow guides you through the property way down towards the majestic pool, seemingly floating out into the rice-fields and foliage beyond. Every detail of Swarapadi Villa is meticulously thought out and designed to blend traditional balinese styles with what could only be described as almost surreal landscapes and architecture to create a true paradise. Just a few kilometres north of Ubud you can have all the privacy and peace you like, all while having many major tourist attractions and amenities just a short taxi ride away. These include, but are not limited to: Campuhan Ridge Walk, Ubud Art Market, the Monkey Forest and Tagallalang Rice Terraces. All of which can be visited by yourself or with a guide organised by your helpful villa manager. The property itself is serviced by a nearby restaurant, Warung Bintang, which itself only has well deserved 5 star ratings. For breakfast, lunch and dinner, everything can be delivered to the Villa and enjoyed either in the dining room, your bedroom or the patio beyond the pool with a beautiful view into nature. Room was roomy and comfortable. We had an outdoor shower, which was nice. We enjoyed the pool. Very instagrammable. Do note that there are some works going around which makes the pool area alittle noisy. However, location is not desirable. Not near the town centre. And in Ubud central, they don’t do grab or gojek. Local taxi charged us exorbitant prices (idr100,000) for a short 10 min trip from Ubud central back to the villa. Staff wise, would have liked them to speak and understand English better. We had a bit of issues with communication. However they were rather friendly and accommodated to all our requests.

Relax in Ubud

This hotel is very nice place to relax. If You go to Ubud and You want to have 5/5 place without many tourists, this is it. Service at this place was 5/5. I just can’t find any bad things to say about this.

Peaceful, relaxing villa with friendly staff

The Villa is very beautiful especially the lounge area. Highly recommend to those who likes to stay in a quiet and peaceful place. I saw some reviews that it is located in the middle of nowhere – yes if you much prefer to spend a lot of time in the Ubud Centre, but for me it was fine as we enjoyed the countryside with amazing rice fields along the street. It takes about 10 minutes by taxi to get to the Ubud Centre. Highly recommend to take a 5 minute walk to the Bintang Restaurant nearby. We stayed in Kuta before this place and they picked us up at Kuta for IDR 300K with free stop by at the Luwak Coffee Farm and the waterfall (separate entry fee for the waterfall of course) on the way to Ubud. They provide decent breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful – they arrange taxis and activities you want to do in Ubud. We asked them to arrange rafting for us and we had so much fun! The bathroom had lots of ants and spiders since a part of the bathroom is outdoor (traditional shower area and bathtub area). The bedroom was clean, airconditioning worked well.

Gorgeous location and lovely villa

My friend and I enjoyed a week at Swarapadi, as we wanted to avoid the bigger tourist traps of Kuta and Seminyak. The villa is spacious with beatiful gardens, in the middle of quiet rice fields yet with easy access to Ubud town centre. Loved the location! You fall asleep to the sounds of crickets, frogs and geckos, and wake up to the greenery. The pool is stunning. There are also two great eateries just 500m down the road, Warung Bintangbali does great local food, Ithaka has amazing breakfasts (the villa offers free breakky but it is not the biggest or tastiest). The managers are accommodating and can help arrange drivers/airport transfer/massages. There are bicycles available for free though it's hot to ride during the middle of the day. You can bike to the rice terraces at Tegallalang, just follow the road up from the villa and then the signage to the rice terraces about 5km one way. Definitely recommend Swarapadi as a lovely place for your time in Bali. Beware the traffic can be crazy in Bali, allow enough time to get to the airport - it took us 2.5hrs leaving at 5pm.

Exquisit. Divine pool. Beautifully landscaped.

I'd be back in a heartbeat. A small affair with just 4 bungalows. It felt private, spacious, very clean. Clearly the creators of this accomodation are masters of their trades.

Paradise

The place is beautiful and the service was wonderful. It's great if you're looking for peace and quiet as it is a little far from the city center. If you have a scooter you'll be in great shape.
