The property and our room (River 3) were beyond beautiful. Thank you to the amazing restaurant staff, the food and service were exceptional. We really appreciated that staff lit mosquito coils on our verandah in the evening so we could sit out. It was a quick and inexpensive ride into central Ubud and a good jumping off point to sites in the area. I highly recommend staying here.

The place is unbelievable. A bit expensive especially for Bali but worth it for a special occation. It's a bit of a mission to get to the town but they have a free taxi service there.

The Purist Villas is perfectly (for us) situated slightly away from the busy downtown. The front desk was helpful in arranging car transportation to and from the hotel. The hotel itself is a gorgeous oasis and we loved our villa. The cleaning and grounds staff were amazingly efficient and detail oriented. The spa and restaurant were excellent, and the front desk was so helpful. We even planned to squeeze in a last lunch of delicious noodles from the restaurant before we left for the airport! Highly recommend this hotel. :)

I have to say I was extremely disappointed with the Purist Villas and Spa. It started right from the beginning. We were told that they would have to charge my credit card again because my account number changed and they said they would refund the initial charge, after charging my card again for the entire hotel stay, I was told that the refund will take 14days. What? If I would have know that, I would have not agreed to charge my card a second time. Then in the room the AC was not working properly. At night we woke up sweating. It was colder outside than inside our room. We had asked to get it fixed, but the first night, no one came and the second day, it worked for a little while, and then stopped working again. Also we noticed that our luggage was gone through, my husband wallet was in a different spot from where he had left it. As far as I kow nothing was missing. There were stains on the curtains that separated the toilet from the bedroom. The pool area was not as private and secluded as expected. We saw employees going up and down the stairs while in our private pool, but the worst thing was on night 2, our last night. It was raining heavily outside for an hour and our roof was leaking and rain water was dripping on our pillows while we were sleeping at 3am. Considering that this trip was for our 20th anniversary, I was extremely disappointed. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. I expect more from a 4.5 star hotel with a price tag like that.

River villa 3 was gorgeous. The quality of the materials used to build the villa and the property in general was top notch. The decor of the bathroom was so luxurious it felt like a mini spa. The most awesome part of my stay was the service. All of the staff were super friendly and accommodating. They remembered my name and made me feel special every day. On my birthday the staff surprised me with roses a flower bath and dessert. I loved staying at The purist and was so sad to leave.

Amazing stay outside the hustle and bustle of Ubud
Purist Villas is perfectly located just north of the core of Ubud. Their free shuttle service into the centre of town however makes it incredibly easy to go enjoy the food and culture of the city, if you can drag yourself away from the comfort of the villas, the spa amenities my girlfriend enjoyed, and amazing pools. Beyond the ultra-comfortable rooms (the detailing of the suites blew us away) the included breakfast was better than most we were able to purchase inside Ubud or in tourist-heavy Seminyak or Kuta. Service was also fantastic, where it felt like our rooms where cleaned every time we stepped away to a meal or to the city. We'd definitely recommend this for couple or families.

BEWARE: $500 mysteriously disappeared from the safe, and had to chose between working with Police for hours or do tourism on our last day at checkout. A nice t-shirt also disappeared. Apart from this, the place is excellent, so just be careful with your stuff.

Beautiful boutique, luxury hotel. Two Big stylish rooms with lovely terraces (suite 1 and 2 - upstairs) were perfect for our family of 4 (parents and two teenage boys). Staff were friendly and very kind. Food was delicious. Atmosphere very quiet and peaceful with shuttle bus into Ubud if you want more restaurants/bars/people. Loved the two big pools. We stayed 3 nights but could happily have stayed for a week. Perfect start to our holiday. Recommend the silversmith workshop if you are interested in making Jewelry.

Everything about the Purist is fantastic. Service is great, breakfast was delicious, the villa was spacious and nicely decorated, and we loved the private pool. It is located slightly out of town but there are a few restaurants and shops within walking distance. Also, they provide a shuttle into town at designated times, or they get your own driver for you for cheap. Our family travels extensively and we never go to the same place twice, but we’ve all said we want to go back to the Purist.

Beautiful villas in a quiet location. Fantastic pools. Easy walk into town or short shuttle ride. Friendly and helpful staff. My 3rd stay here and will definitely return- consistenly fabulous.

Purist Perfection!!
Purist is one of the best hotels in Ubud. There are fancier name hotels but you will not get a better value or more personalized service than Purist. It is a beautiful boutique hotel just close enough to the hustle of central Ubud. Purist was a lovely tranquil zen like home base for our adventures in Ubud.

The Purist Villas are utterly stunning. We stayed in the Yoklo residence and it was by far the most beautiful place we’ve ever visited. The staff is SO accommodating, providing multiple drop offs and pickups throughout the day and ready to help at a moments notice. Every single staff member is absolutely delightful, the food in the restaurant is delicious, and the spa is lovely. If you find yourself in Ubud you should absolutely go out of your way to stay here, you will not regret it. It’s a little slice of heaven in the jungle!

The service and staff are fantastic. We stayed here 4 nights 3 in the jungle villa and one in the bamboo villa. Had to switch rooms from Bamboo 1 because the roof started leaking during a strong deluge. That said, the front desk was prompt, courteous and extremely apologetic, and quickly moved us to the Bamboo 2 which was just as nice. We would definitely come back here again.

쾌적하고 조용하고 안락한, 우붓우붓한 호텔입니다 리조트내에서 가장 작은방에 머물렀지만 충분히 큰 사이즈의 방과 욕실, 테라스까지 부족함이 없었습니다 친절한 스탭들과 합리적인 가격에 맛있는 레스토랑도 너무 만족스러웠어요 호텔 셔틀도 우붓 센터까지 하루 5회가 다니고, 그 외의 시간엔 60,000루피아로 픽업 드랍요청이 가능해서 무척 편리했습니다 그리고 차의 컨디션도 너무 좋아서 만족스러웠구요

Paradise
This place is paradise, it was completely beyond our expectations. The whole place is so beautiful I never wanted to leave. The villas are huge, spotless and beautiful. The staff were so friendly, they went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. We didn’t have a private pool but it didn’t matter as the 2 main pools were always so quiet! We would come back in a heartbeat!

Beautiful private Ubud accommodation
We stayed in the Jungle Villa 2 for 6 nights. The villa had it's own private pool, decking and set within beautiful gardens. The room was clean however the canopy on top of the bed prevented cool air from the air conditioner from getting to us making the room stuffy at night. However the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was spacious with a separate bath and shower. The position of the shower head was a little awkward. It would have been better for it to be on the roof or have better pressure. We ate every night at the restaurant which had a good selection of delicious food (majority of which was traditional balinese). The position of the hotel is about 1.5kms from Ubud town centre. It is a hot walk with no footpaths and the hotel shuttle probably needs to be more frequent. The tour organized by the hotel was excellent! And all the staff are so friendly and accommodating.

Nicht genügend Liegen am Pooö
Der Service im Hotel ist sehr gut und die Zimmer sind sauber. Jedoch entspricht das Hotel meines Erachtens nicht einem 5 Sterne Hotel. Am Pool hat es viel zu wenig Liegen, welche bereits früh morgens alle reserviert werden. Als Alternative wird einem eine Rattanmatte angeboten, welche nicht einem 5 Sterne Hotel entspricht. Würde das Hotel aufgrund der Aufregung am Morgen bezüglich den Liegen nicht mehr besuchen, da es für mich kein Urlaub ist, am Morgen um Liegen zu kämpfen.

Relaxing Villa with private pool for family
All staff are helpful and friendly, good services all the time, excellent breakfast with lots of choice. Quiet and beautiful villa. Free shuttle bus can also access Ubud market and the town easily.

Spoiling experience
We booked the Bamboo Villa - everything looked just EXACTLY like on advertised pictures! No sugarcoating, a wonderful villa, HUGE Sofa, everything well cared for. Great wardrobe, you can open your suitcase but no need to unpack it completely, very convenient, more than enough space for 2 people with luggage! Staff was extraordinary friendly, helpful and caring - we had already much experience from Thai friendlyness but this was just spoiling! Food - oh my god, wonderful! More than spoiling breakfast in the villa, tasty choices, allover the best hotel experience I had in my life! Compared to other places in Ubud quite pricey but I would rather spend less time in Ubud than visiting another hotel! LOVED it there! Only thing that could be improved: light in bathroom / wardrobe pretty dark. For shaving, searching something in your belongings not sufficient.
