"Loved the rooftop lounge"

"A beautiful hotel with a wonderful, attentive staff. Deluxe double queen room was lovely and quiet. The only potential negative is the neighborhood. Though nicely situated to Union Square and public transportation such as cable cars and muni, about a block in the other direction may be the start of the sketchiest part of the city— an area that was dirty and depressed with a very large, visible homeless population. My family never had an issue with this, but we made sure to stay clear. Nevertheless, I would gladly revisit the hotel. "

"The immediate area seems pretty safe. However, a block or 2 over is very sketchy. I do not recommend walking around at night. During the day it’s not so bad, take rideshare if you can. The hotel property itself is very nice and clean. "
