"We knew that we had booked a room without a view. We were delighted with the room, which had been recently re-done. It was spacious and spotlessly clean. The rest of the hotel had undergone a refurb too and looked wonderful.
The main thing to commend was the staff, who were delightful, friendly and helpful. This was especially so with the breakfast staff, who were a credit to you."
"Room was clean but sparse, and quite compact with one extended length window. Bed was very comfortable and coffee/tea/hot cocoa, bottled water and cookies were the amenities. Bathroom was wet-bath style but worked ok. Touch-pad light, heating/cooling, and blind controls worked fine and if you have smartphone, check-in, digital entry key, and check-out all worked fine, thought elevators were sometimes picky with the smartphone digital key to allow access to floors that rooms were on. Would stay again for overnight, but probably not more than one night."
"My first room was not so nice. Smelt of damp and had a really dreary view. Location perfect, I should’ve been given a nicer room at no extra cost but had to pay £25 to upgrade C’est La Vie. Some staff were lovely and some didn’t seem to quite be as caring. The lift smelt of urine that needs to be addressed. "
"Always enjoy our stays in the holiday inn we've stayed here about 8 times now great location never had any issues ,love being able to park under the hotel ."
