"We loved, loved, loved this hotel. The checkin was efficient and the receptionist was so helpful with suggestions for our visit. We stayed for 5 days and were quite sad to leave. In a perfect location to explore the city it is a cool haven after a day sightseeing. Our room was lovely, and well maintained.There were some great touches. The only thing that let it down was the layout of the room - a little old fashioned in some details - such as the layout of the sockets (1 socket behind the bedside table), the position of the sofa compared to the TV (it was under the TV so you could not see it when sitting down), coffee machine tucked away in a cupboard and difficult to use, aswell as no usefully positioned socket for using the clothes steamer. And in a wonderful bathroom with a great shower the position of the hand soap is only useful when you are using one of the sinks. All of the amenities are there, and high quality ones as well, but it is just the layout which lets it down.
The breakfast was excellent, with wonderful staff looking after everything. We felt welcomed and looked after. We also ate at the hotel twice. The second time was because the other places we had tried in town were not as good and we preferred the experience at the hotel. The food was well presented and delicious,
The pool was great after a day out. A small area with a few beds. Some of the beds were damaged and needed replacing though. Again great staff looking after it,
