"Our stay at the Marriott Walnut Creek was overall good. The staff were all nice and helpful. The front desk, valet, and cleaning staff were friendly. We were disappointed by the room. We chose this hotel because the room pictures looked spacious and showed a large window, and the hotel looked nice overall. We reserved a room with a king bed. We were given a small room behind the elevator with a small window that faced an indoor wall, and people could walk up to our window and see into the room, specifically right over the bed, so we had to keep it closed the whole visit. The room had an awkward layout with lots of angles that felt cramped. The floor pieces were coming apart, showing whatever was under the wood panels. The bed was comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was good. The location was convenient for walking to the BART. The hotel itself did not seem overly full, so we are not sure why we got this small corner room."
