"Lovely, quaint hotel on one of the small canals. The room worked great for my 4-person family and is within eye shot of the main Piazza where all the buses come in so was easy to get to. The breakfast buffet was phenomenal and though it was a separate cost at 15 euro per person, it was well worth it. Everything is really close in Venice so really anywhere on St Lucia is convenient for shopping and sightseeing. Additionally, there are a couple of restaurants right next to the hotel and we enjoyed...

"Casa Villa Gardenia is a very easy taxi ride from the airport station, which we did after a long flight, and also easily walkable, which we did to get to Venice. Our host was AMAZING -- follow his recommendations (grazie mille, Federico!). The building and rooms felt secure and hold old world charm in decor and accomodation. The breakfast is top notch, with a wide array to choose from, everything very fresh and presented beautifully. I would stay here again! "

"I would not recommend this hotel at all. It is NOTHING like the images on Expedia. It is extremely run down, tired, dilapidated and in serious need of refurbishment. Firstly, the front entrance was not accessible as there were maintenance (building) works being carried out which was not disclosed when booking, resulting in having to walk around a few streets to the back entrance, which was not signposted at all and difficult to find! I asked for a room on the lowest floor possible as I have...
