"So - The Pierpont was established in 1910, needless to say, the place is old. Having said that ... it's still a great place to stay. The reception gal was kind, quick to check us in, and helpful. We stayed in the KING SUITE with a great ocean view in the bedroom and the main room. A balcony would have been the cherry on top, but there isn't one. A sliding glass window/screen door would have been nice as well, but no such luck. The windows don't open, so you're at the mercy of the AC for airflow. There's a bit of a musty smell, but not unbearable. The bed was comfy - the bathroom with the counter and sink was a bit small, but the shower area was very spacious. Overall, the room did not sparkle and shine (the place is old), but still great! Very close to the beaches and the main street area - just a few minutes drive. If I could, I'd give it 4 1/2 stars. One thing to note: when you book on Expedia with a credit or debit card, make sure to bring a second form of payment (a different card) upon arrival because they won't use the same card you used to book your room, to pay for the deposit and parking fee (very weird -that's never been a policy anywhere I've ever stayed). Luckily I brought my other debit card from another bank or else I'm not sure what would have happened, and our experience may have been very different. We'd definitely stay here again!"
"Everything was fine. Some of the staff were super, some were asleep or focused only on the computer screen with no eye contact to the guest walking in front of them. The carpet in our room was a bit sticky. Mike who checked us in was great. The breakfast man overseeing the dining room had a very warm smile and made everyone feel welcomed and comfortable."
"like the location across from the Del Hotel..easy to cross street to take advantage of the Del and its restaurants..
the Glorietta Inn is a basic hotel..decent breakfast..nice view across from the bay and sailboats..the pool could use more umbrellas specially since it was so hot...
the housekeeping is only every other day ..
what is great is the fact that you are on Orange road and its many shops and restaurants. so great location.."
"Good location close to the water front. Main area for restaurants around 15min walk. Loved the marina area which is very close to the hotel. They offer complimentary breakfast which is more than adequate. Good stay overall."
