"Hotel Sherman was the perfect oasis for our quick stay in the city. Its entrance is tucked between two buildings, and I almost missed it at first. Upon entering, I felt like I was transported to a quaint Parisian hotel- it was simply lovely! The staff were so welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. When we arrived I learned we were upgraded from a double queen room to a two bedroom penthouse suite with private terrace. It was amazing! The rooftop terrace is also beautiful, and a great place...

"Great hotel. Great location. Pricey but nice. We had a great view (by request and surcharged). Have stayed 3 times so far. All good but must admit wear and tear is starting to show on room furniture. Mattress springs were compressed on edge of bed pretty bad. Rest of mattress was fine. There's not a lot of space in the room (like any NY hotel) so the edge of the bed probably gets a lot of use....but all in all would likely stay again due to proximity to family residents."

"Room was small but perfect for 2 people on an overnight stay. Cozy with all the necessary amenities and more! Bedding and linens were clean and soft as advertised. Everything was so neat and tidy - and we kept finding little features that were so thoughtfully and cleverly placed! (eg., a pullout table / workspace as part of the nightstand, luggage storage tray that rolled out from under the bed, etc.). Such a cute hotel, check in and check out was a breeze, staff was so kind and helpful, and...

"Housekeeping staff was great and did a good job everyday but the person we first met on arriving was rude. We understand rooms may not be available for early check in but the same can be conveyed in a kind manner. We reached early so they gave us access to a common guest washroom which was terribly dirty and started the trip on a bad note. "
