Loved the atmosphere of this hotel! We had a great experience! The front desk was really accommodating and the Ruby restaurant staff gave great service. The food was incredible!
Only thing I’d add is to bring flip flops if you intend to use the pool…
We will be back! 👌
If you’re looking for kitschy stay, Hotel Zed is a perfect choice. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Our room was spotless and the aesthetic made us cackle. We loved the full sized disco ball, Garfield mugs and spacious shower.
Great place to stay for 1 night. Room was a little small with limited storage space but not an issue for the 1 night we were there. The basement games room was really fun and the swimming pool looked great. About a 30 minute walk to the waterfront of Victoria
Staff were wonderful. Rooms were super cute and clean. Location is very convenient near bus stop to easily commute. Downside which is not their fault is seagulls made a lot of noise which made it hard to sleep
Great location, close to downtown. I love that the hotel was bike friendly and close to the bike trail. The kids loved the pool. The room was comfy. Would definitely stay again.
The staff is always super accommodating and friendly. The hotel is a comfortable place and has a fun, safe and accessible atmosphere. We have stayed here 6-8 times with 3 children and have never been let down.
The staff are very helpful and friendly, the room was really clean the pool area was really clean and we had what we needed for the whole trip. We would definitely stay there again.
We loved the unique decor and the amazing staff! Our room was always clean and used items (towels, cups) were replaced daily. The French press and real cream were an unexpected touch that was refreshing. The pool and hot tub were a hit. Grandma’s Basement was a blast!
Washroom is a little small but the vibes, the staff, price, location and the overall accommodation out-weighed the washroom issue!!! And yes the coffee is good!
We have stayed here several times and my kids love the pool and waterslide! I appreciate the fun 70s aesthetic and atmosphere is awesome. The staff is friendly and helpful. Although the location is not super close to downtown, the bus is right out front, and the mall being right there makes it easy to get anything you need. Also the restaurant on site, The Ruby, is delicious!
Our room was a very comfortable suite with a separate bedroom and a queen bed in the lounge area which suited our family. The kitchenette was compact but had very useful items in it. The hotel is on the main road into downtown Victoria and there are lots of buses going both ways which was excellent. Also opposite Zed is a shopping centre, you can walk across in 2 minutes, it has a great food court, lots of shops and a supermarket. The staff were fun, relaxed and very helpful. We enjoyed using the indoor pool and sauna. We also used the laundry, you can get free washing powder from Reception. The little cafe restaurant attached to Reception was super popular, on the morning we checked out there were people queuing to get a table. We did not partake but it smelt very good!
