"We recently stayed at Estrellas de Gredos and were really disappointed. The place has stunning mountain views and a traditional curved ceiling, but a lot of things went wrong. The biggest issue was a broken sliding door that wouldn’t lock. "We had a warm welcome from the owner, and the apartment we stayed in was a good size, with a separate bedroom and living/kitchen area. The apartment is above a garage (separate to the rest of the hostel) and below the owners living area. The kitchen was mostly well equipped, with a microwave, oven, hob, filter coffee machine, dishwasher and washing machine, plenty of crockery and pans. "Great hotel on the centre of town. Staff friendly. Parking seperate but adjacent to hotel, gate closed overnight. Restaurant not open Sunday evening.......just my luck! Plenty of other places in village but most closed in afternoon opening 7:30/8. Aircon in room which was welcome at end of June. Left early so can't comment on breakfast."

We had a balcony with a lovely view of the mountains. I would recommend the hostal, we hope to make a return visit in the future."
