"Really fun little hotel, with super helpful staff, who took care of our every need. The larger rooms on the first floor are really great, with a bathtub in the room and nice decor. We did have a night in a second floor room also- just a bit small for us- we’ve been traveling for a while so have more stuff than someone on a weekend away- though still lovely decor and nice and quiet. We used this hotel as a base to explore the area of Friesland and were really happy with the choice."

Unfortunately, the bed which was shown at the time of booking was different from the beds available when we reached the hotel. "Lovely area and beautiful setting. Giethoorn gets quite busy in the day, when you see it you will understand why. Its like going back in time, the museum is a must to understand the history, as is the church. We loved our stay, a very helpful chap on the reception. You're quite a way from the car park, so luggage is taken back and forth in a bucket shaped trolley. Sadly the weather wasn't the best so didn't get to enjoy sitting out by the water much which would have been lovely. The only problem we had was with the microwave that doubles as an oven, and didn't work well at all, waiting forever, or burning items !, so gave up. Would much rather have had a separate oven. Kitchen could do with looking at to be fair. Overall we had a lovely time. If you want nightlife this isn't for you, If you want relaxing and peaceful this is it."

"The rooms are very clean, and cleaned daily The rooms are large and consist of sleeping area and Living area, the views from the bedrooms are of the marina which are beautiful. The breakfast was excellent and you can use the fantastic swimming pool as you wish. For the cyclists, take your bikes with you and there is a locked dry bike shed. The cycling paths are excellent, very safe and endless. They have a huge parking area and it's free"
