Virginia Creeper Damascus

The Virginia Creeper Trail is a 34 mile Rails to Trails path that goes from White Top Station to Abingdon. Damascus is in the heart of this trail & is a wonderful place to catch a shuttle to the top and ride the 17 miles back down...especially for those of you with young children! The path crosses several bridges and roads and goes thru some of the areas most beautiful spots!

Running 18 miles from Whitetop Station to Damascus, the Virginia Creeper Trail is one of the most beautiful “rail trails” in the eastern United States. Along the way, you’ll cross approximately 30 old bridges, several with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. Plan on visiting in mid-October for the best fall colors.
