"The Domes of Elounda was a beautiful property. The facilities including pools were beautiful. The reason I give it an ok is due primarily to service and maintenance considering the price. I expected 5 stars and got 4. The first night our electric went out. They fixed that that night but the hot tub did not work until the next day. The bar servers were incredibly slow. Other service was slow as well due to most of the servers being new. The cart drivers were great as well as reception."

"This is simply a stunningly located hotel on a very steep hillside. The views are epic. The hotel has 3 main external lifts to beach level or a free electric buggy service to take you up / down the levels if you don't want / can't walk. Poolside staff excellent, sun umbrellas to all sunbeds and attentive polite, English speaking staff. Inclusive breakfast is buffet style , but there everything you could possibly want . Evening meal if you choose it was buffet again which we had once at 30 euros each. Again plenty of food, but we decided to eat in local restaurants in Elounda. When we visited the optional supplement restaurants at the hotel weren't up and running, but Elounda is a 30 minute walk or 5 mins by car/ taxi. Couldn't fault room cleaning, fresh towels daily. We used the gym which is excellent , opens at 0700. We didn't use the spa. It's basically a massage and beauty treatment centre. Local tourist tax for a week was 100 euros ISH and our bar bills 120. All accurately recorded. Would I go again? In a heartbeat. We went 26/4 to 3/5. It's clear the hotel was just opening up for the season. We had 4 days at 22-24 degrees which was hot enough to get a sun tan. 3 days overcast and some light showers. The whole area is generally breezy which helps keep you cool."

"Dora was amazing! She helped us plan some great day trips. More local traditional Greek food at the dinner buffet would have been appreciated. Our room was very damp and smelt musty. We only stayed for 3 nights but would have asked to be moved if staying longer. . "

"Lovely welcome from Emmanouil who couldn’t have been more helpful. We got upgraded which was nice and had a big apartment. Incredible value for money. We loved Plaka. Lots of nice restaurants and bars and not forgetting the one attached to the accomodation which was perfect for our lunch. "

"The complex was newly refurbished with a new pool area. Rooms were immaculate and well provisioned. Service was excellent from all staff. The only disappointment was that one restaurant was closed and the one that was open was buffet style. We were B&B only but paid to go to restaurant on first evening. The choice was quite limited and a little disappointing. We walked into the nearby (30min casual walk) and ate there in the wide choice of restaurants for the rest of the stay. Buffet style Breakfast was good though. "
