Typical Pub Grub that was served piping hot and with a smile from the staff. Would we stay again while visiting family? Absolutely we would!! "

"This was one of the best places I have stayed in a long time. The look of the Ribchester Arms, when we arrived, was impressive. We had a very large room and bathroom, both very modern with a 'fridge and juices, milk, drinks and biscuits. The staff were very helpful and looked after us. Breakfast was freshly cooked and pretty good. We ate there a couple of nights and the food was wonderful. A recommended place to stay ."

"Check-in was easy, staff was friendly and helpful. Room was small with stains on the carpet and marks on the wall - not great. Evening meal was very good in terms of quality. Not great was serving time and overall state of chairs and tables. Chairs were absolutely uncomfortable and tables wabbly in restaurant and breakfast room. Parking was OK, but road into property is full of potholes."

"Second stay and a whole much better. Breakfast excellent as ever, room facilities were in good condition, including a working fridge except for a broken window handle. Still couldn't turn the radiator off, so too hot and the Spa could be more accessible with priority given to staying guests."

"We were given a room in the courtyard area no43, It was small for 2 people It smelled musty and damp The wallpaper on the outside wall was blistered.One end of the radiator, the thermostat end, was tied to the wall with a plastic tie wrap.The window was to high to reach to open There is no lift in the main part of the house or the Courtyard rooms.No43 is on the ground floor"

"Room was very clean as was the bathroom. It had everything you needed and it was all clearly labelled. Kingsize bed was really comfy. Curtains were blackout so no light got through. Situated in a lovely quiet area so there was no noise throughout the night. Throughly enjoyed the room. Had no issues are complaints. "

"Stayed at the Black Dog Inn in Bolton for two nights. The room itself was comfortable enough for the price, so no major complaints there. However, the overall experience was disappointing. The first night was a write-off in terms of sleep. Staff gave a late booking to a couple who had been drinking in the pub, and they stayed up most of the night with the TV on at a very high volume. There’s clearly little to no sound insulation, as it felt like the noise was coming from inside the...
